Hot book is one of the classics of magic. Hot book (also called Fire book or Flaming book) is a great way to open your stage show.
You walk on stage with a beautiful hardcover book. You tell the audience that before you came here, you read this book of scientific articles about global warming. The book talks about the dangers facing humanity. You flip through the book so the audience knows that the pages are full of text. Then you say that due to the increase in the temperature of the earth, fire is breaking out in many dense forests around the world. So if we don’t do something important to lower the global temperature, the fire could flare up here or there – yes, everywhere – and immediately flames come out of the book! You immediately close the book and the flames are extinguished. Meanwhile, you tell them that it’s quite a hot topic!
