Description
Jumping Silk on Rope: This trick is similar to the popular Monkey Bar effect. You show a red rope with three yellow knots. There is a scarf tied with one of the knots on the right side of the rope. You take the rope behind your back and the scarf has jumped to the knot on the left side. You take it behind your back again and the scarf has now jumped back to the knot on the right side. You continue this a few times. The audience will yell at you to just turn the rope so it looks like the scarf is on the opposite end. You’re not quite satisfied that they think you’re cheating and take the rope behind your back again. This time, to everyone’s surprise, the scarf has jumped to the knot in the middle.
The trick can be used in front of a larger group but doesn’t take up much space, so you can keep it in your pocket. Although the trick is self-acting, it’s a surprising effect – and a good laugh!
And you can immediately give everything to the audience and they can examine the rope, scarf and knots. You will receive the special rope, scarf and explanation in English.
Here you can see how David Ginn uses this effect.
