The classic “professor’s nightmare” with black ropes. It gives you the opportunity to tell the story of the time you were given a big piece of licorice to share with your two cousins. You accidentally gave your little cousin a very small piece of licorice, your slightly bigger cousin a slightly bigger piece – he was a bit stronger – and then a very big piece for yourself. This could have disastrous consequences if your father saw it, so you borrow the licorice pieces from your cousins – and in your hands the three licorice pieces suddenly become the same length.
