Description
Big Red Card: The magician has one of the spectators pick a number, which is number 15. You then explain that you’ve been reading a new book called “Magic Secrets” (or “How to Read Minds”) and this book will tell you what number the spectator has chosen. In fact, it will tell you half of the chosen number, so you ask someone to do some mental math and divide the chosen number by 2.
You take a book, 8 1/2 x 11 inches (the American size, which is about A4), and try to read it. At first you say the number is 27. Wrong. You read some more. How about 84? Still wrong. If you don’t get the number right on the third try, no one will believe you’re a magician! How about… 162? No? Really? Uh-huh Oh, come on! What was the number? you ask. Uh, what? Your number was seven and a half? That’s impossible!
What was the first number you picked? Fifteen? And half of that is… Seven and a half. Oh, man. Your number can’t be seven and a half! This book is supposed to read your mind and help me tell you half the number… I’m speechless!
Open the book and show the big red card, Seven and a Half Hearts.
In this SPECIAL pack you get two big red cards (one of which can be laminated) with instructions for both stage and close up use.
A fun trick from the famous American children and family entertainer David Ginn.
