Fantastica – Christmas: There are many things to spend money and energy on during Christmas: Advent gifts, Christmas presents, money for fundraising for poor people in other countries or families in Denmark who need special help during the holiday season. You might think that all these good causes can drain you of both money and energy. But many people have experienced the joy in a child’s eyes at receiving a gift or the gratitude of a family who received Christmas aid. And at that moment, you find yourself filled with great joy that even though you gave something away, you got a lot back.
You hand the audience a regular Coca-Cola bottle (Fanta, Schweeps, etc. can also be used) with a silk scarf placed inside. Ask a spectator to unscrew the tight-fitting cap and pull out the scarf. The cap is screwed onto the empty bottle. And a sleeve is placed over the empty bottle.
You grab the scarf and let it disappear (*). Now the sleeve is lifted and there – inside the bottle – is the disappearing scarf. Wow – and an extra wow when the audience realizes that the cap is still on the bottle. The audience is allowed to free the scarf.
You receive a holster, scarf + a cunning secret. You have to deliver the empty bottle with the cap yourself. But here’s the best part. This mini-illusion is not at all difficult to perform – and it’s magic that works every time.
