Description
You take a glass and a piece of paper. You pour water into the glass, place the piece of paper over the top of the glass and turn it over. When you move your hand, the amazing thing happens! The water stays suspended in the glass, supported only by a piece of paper. You now slowly remove the paper. The water stays in the glass – but on your command the water splashes out of the glass and into a bowl that you have standing. You can hold the glass over a spectator’s head while you remove the piece of paper. You can read what is written on the paper. Under no circumstances should you move this piece of paper while holding the glass over the spectator’s head.
You look at the spectator in panic, but the water is still in the glass. You move the glass over the bowl and the water splashes into it.
