Show how the guillotine cuts perfectly through a piece of carrot or cigarette.
You ask a spectator to insert their index finger into the top of the holes. In the bottom hole you again place a piece of carrot, a macaroni or a cigarette. Strike the blade down through the finger, which of course will be unharmed! It will look as if the blade has passed through your finger. The carrot, macaroni or cigarette in the hole underneath will be cut.
This model of the guillotine has a unique locking mechanism and can be examined even by magicians who know other models of this trick.
