Old MacDonald’s Farm Gag Bag by Lee Alex: This is a breath of fresh air for your children’s performance. It is based on the internationally known children’s song “Old MacDonald Had a Farm” = Jens Hansen had a farm.
The outside of the bag shows the stable where all the animals live. There’s plenty of fun and interaction with the audience, as the audience is encouraged to guess which animals are on Old MacDonald’s farm. The animals can appear in any order under the magician’s control. The audience can sing along to “Old MacDonald” and can of course also make the sounds as the animals appear by turning the bag inside out.

The magician helps Old MacDonald find the missing dog on the farm. The children see a picture of the dog when the bag is turned inside out. However, the magician cannot see the dog. More and more animals appear, a new one each time, but the magician can never see the dog. Finally, the magician looks into Old MacDonald’s bag and this time the audience sees a silhouette of where the dog should be – BUT the dog has disappeared!
The magician looks inside the bag once again and finds the dog’s “leash” (which is actually a long figurine balloon). The magician inflates the balloon and creates a balloon dog, which he gives to the birthday child or helper.
You also receive a 2D cut-out of the dog, which can sit on your back or on the back of one of the helpers or somewhere else entirely.
The bag is made of specially printed fabric in bright, bright colors with 6 different well-known pets: DOG (and silhouette) – COW – PIG – LAMB – DUCK – CHICKEN (you can show as many or as few of the animals as you want).
The bag measures approx. 30 cm x 30 cm. The dog is approx. 18 cm x 16 cm.
