Pull Apart Silks is a great trick where the spectators do some of the work. You ask a spectator to tie a scarf ring from a scarf. Preferably with a tight knot. You get the ring and tie a scarf ring yourself so that the two scarves are now connected. They really do hang together – and the spectator is sure of it. The scarves are placed in a hat and immediately afterwards you pick them up again – and the two rings are separated but still tied together with two tight knots. No! no extra drying chains. Raw magic that can stand the scrutiny of the audience. If you want to do magic without a table and a hat, you can just use a bag. And if you want to be completely stand up, you can curl the two scarves together, shake them a little – and you’ll have two loose scarf rings.
