Wooden teaser retro: Have a spectator examine a small stick – the teaser. It has a small chin/hook- Put the snapper into the holster and explain that if you turn the snapper twice to the left and once to the right, you can grab the rubber band with the chin/hook.
You prove it by pulling the tease stick out slightly and it goes back into the holster with a small pop.
You can do this again and again, but when the spectator tries, he/she can’t catch the rubber band. Of course, you don’t want to pull the trick so far out that your helpers get angry. It’s really annoying not to be able to do something that looks so easy. The teasing stick is a fun little icebreaker.
