The classic gambler story has been developed into a unique pirate routine. Show three cards with a treasure map on the back. Two of the cards have a pirate flag on the front and the third has a treasure chest. As the magician shuffles the cards slowly, making it obvious where the treasure is, he tells the story of an encounter with a pirate that gave him a chance to win the treasure. No matter how fairly and slowly the cards are moved, the treasure is never where it should be! “Oh dear . . . you’re cheating me? Where is the treasure hidden?” is all the audience can say. The reason the treasure can’t be found is because it’s protected by the pirate Loose Tooth Louie! The image of Louie appears and you show a surprise ending!
