THE EFFECT:

Here’s how it works: You show a deck of cards that is blank on both sides. You ask the spectator to name a playing card and then you ask them to pick a number – either one is a free choice. You slowly put the cards down one by one while you count. The chosen playing card lies exactly in this position. Everything can be explored.
